“Acadia wanted to let us know they had begun to track why in many cases, after receiving requests for loss runs. The  loss information was simply not getting to the intended party.”

“Our policy has always been to forward any loss run requests on to the binding agent of record and we have recently discovered that in many cases, the request stops there” Said the Acadia representatives.”

“We have been and continue to receive loss run requests that are created though the ATIN system and only discovered this issue when contacted through the ATIN 2nd request DOI system on multiple occasions that loss information was not being forwarded 100% of the time. We wanted ATIN to know that as a result, we are completely revamping our loss run procurement procedures to help our insured’s to receive their loss information”’ said Acadia.

ATIN applauds the Acadia insurance company for their proactive efforts in making loss run procurement a top priority.

Please let this wonderful example spill onto those carriers who need to shape up, or get fined!

Remember; by not forwarding loss runs to your insured’s will keep them from their right to go out to market and may also constitute as an unfair and illegal business practice!
